Application Process

For Princeton ITSO 2019, registration applications for Conference & Workshop (March 11th -13th 2019) and ITSO COMPETITION (July 15th -21th 2019) will be opened in accordance with the overall time plan, and registration entrance will be closed according to the deadline. Schools, coaches and competitors who meet the requirements will complete relevant registration applications and payment procedures online.


Eligibility Information:

ITSO (International Team SPELLING Olympiad) is divided into three different levels as a whole: primary school, junior high school and senior high school. Students enrolled in the competition need to meet the school age of each level:

  • Primary school level (between 7 and 12 years old) in primary school or homeschool students
  • Junior high school level (between 13 and 15 years old) in primary school or homeschool students
  • Senior high school level (between 16 and 18 years old) in high school or homeschool students
  • Currently enrolled in PUBLIC SCHOOL, PRIVATE SCHOOL,or HOMESCHOOL

Princeton ITSO 2019 is open to students who are:

  • Of any nationality or citizenship
  • Of any gender, race, or ethnicity
  • FROM 7 TO 18 years old
  • Currently enrolled in PUBLIC SCHOOL, PRIVATE SCHOOL,or HOMESCHOOL

Once accepted, students must be accompanied by a faculty advisor. Teachers, university students, parents, administrators, and other adults 18 years of age or older are eligible to serve as faculty advisors. Any individual who is eligible to participate at Princeton ITSO as a delegate is ineligible to serve as a faculty advisor.


How to Apply

  1. After registration entrance is opened on the ITSO website, schools can apply to participate.
  2. After being examined and verified by the ITSO Secretariat, participating schools can pay fees.
  3. After fees are received, provide materials for participating schoolsâ€leaders, coaches and students according to the ITSO requirements.
  4. Wait for the final notification from ITSO Secretariat, and the results of dividing groups, prepare for the competition.
